My mom was also a patient in the CVICU at Roper while Mr. Easterling was there. Our families kind of got to know each other during the days that our loved ones were ill. We got to talk to Amy a good bit, and she was very sweet. We knew that Mr. Easterling's condition was very critical and that the family had to make a decision. We hurt so much for you all during that time, and certainly kept him and the family in our prayers. Quite unexpectedly, the Lord decided to call my mom home last Wednesday afternoon. We just buried her yesterday, so we know exactly how you all are feeling right now. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you all during this time. To the Easterlin family, I am sorry for your loss. I got to know Amy, and her mom. I do know that yalls dad, your mom's husband is in heaven. I want y'all to know that the family was, is and shall be in our prayers. With sadness I also have to tell y'all that Christy Mizell, my mother in law passed Wed afternoon on the 15th. Her viewing was on sat and the rain held off on Sunday so that the funeral was dry for us. We are all sorry that we missed yalls viewing and the funeral. I know the hurt, the grief, the weepy moments will pass in time, but God's love and peace will surround you like it is for us now. I hate the families had to meet like this. May God continually hold your entire family tight in his loving arms.
