Mr. Wilbur Robert Campbell, known to everyone as “Willy”, 68, of Ehrhardt, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock, Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. Johns Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Born May 28, 1947 in Givhans, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Tom Campbell and Myrtle Clayton Campbell Kinard. He served his country in the South Carolina National Guard, having retired after 30 years of service. He was a retired manager of Moccasin Creek Plantation in Ehrhardt. Mr. Willy loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved his family. He was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather, who greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who were his greatest joy in life.
Surviving are: his wife of 45 years, Jane Ayer Campbell of Ehrhardt; son, Joey Campbell and his wife Amanda of Ehrhardt; and grandchildren, Sidney Campbell and Reid Campbell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Campbell, II.
