Johnny Ritter has been an icon in our firm and a part of our family for many years. Prior to his nearly thirty year tenure with Brice Herndon, he was as an assistant manager at Big Star in Walterboro where he worked for sixteen years before becoming the manager of Prine's Provision and Company in Walterboro where he retired after thirty-four years of loyal service.

He was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Ritter, where he is the Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Secretary, and the Building Fund Treasurer. He also served his country faithfully in the United States National Guard. He is a member of the Men's Breakfast Club.

He passed away on August 29, 2023 and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Pearce Ritter who passed in October of 2022.
