Allison Herndon

Manager, Varnville - Hampton Chapel Licensed 2824, Certified Crematory Operator 1402

Allison Ruth Herndon, the first child of Donald and Linda Herndon, is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and certified crematory operator. She is a graduate of Walterboro High School, Class of 1996, where she sang with the WHS Singers and performed leading roles in several musical productions. She went on to attend Charleston Southern University, majoring in Music Therapy, before discovering her true calling—to serve others in their time of need through funeral service.

Joining her father and brother in the family business, Allison pursued her funeral service degree at Ogeechee College in Statesboro, Georgia, where she was named to the Dean’s List throughout her studies. During her time in mortuary school, she also gained valuable experience working with Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Homes in Springfield and Pooler, just outside of Savannah.

Allison is an active member of Green Pond Baptist Church, where she sings in the adult choir and participates in the Women’s Missionary Union. Gifted with a beautiful soprano voice, she is often invited to sing with the choir at Saint Jude’s Episcopal Church and at many other churches in the community.

Above all, Allison treasures her role as mother to her daughter, Miss Adalyn Grace Campbell.
