Mr. Murray was such a sweet and kind person.
We got to know him when he was filling in as the farmers market manager.
I do not think Mr. Murry ever met a stranger.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Condolences to the family. I am sorry for your loss. I pray God comforts the family during this difficult time. Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." The family is in my prayers.

My love and prayers go out to the entire Murry Bishop Family at the passing of this wonderful and good man. It has been a Blessing to me to have known this sweet, kind and gentle man for the past 40 plus years and I am proud to call him my Friend. He was always smiling and happy when I would see him over the years and it seemed to rub off on you and you went away with lifted spirits. He loved his family so dearly and also had room and love in his heart for others. He seemed to spread cheer everywhere he went. I will miss him along with his family because I loved him, too. I know he got a "Well Done" from our Heavenly Father. Rest In Peace, Murry, until we meet again. You will be remembered by a great many of us here in Walterboro.

So sorry to hear about Murry. He was a wonderful person, true gentleman. His love for everyone showed through his beautiful smile. Our town lost an icon and he will be missed. We did some hunting together and I will always remember those great days! Prayers and thoughts with all of you. Rest in Peace, Murry!

Dear Bobbie & Joey,
We trust that Murry is resting in peace in God's kingdom. We send prayers of sympathy to you and all of the family.
We didn't know Murry real well but well enough to know he was a very kind and caring person, he always went out of his way to speak to us at some of our family reunions, a very unique and pleasant man for certain. I'm sure he will be missed dearly.
In our thoughts,
Bill and Maria Browne

Mr. Murry was the first friend we made when we came to SC. He become a great friend to our whole family. He taught me a lot about my gardening and he was a walking, talking encyclopedia on the subject of all plants. We shared a love of hunting and fishing with him. He was a great cook and made the best Pecan Pie in the world. He loved his family very much and talked of them with much pride! He was a Godly man and is resting in Heaven with his beloved wife. We loved you dearly Mr Murry. Billy and Debbie Cooke

Dear Jackie, Bobbie, and Jean,

I was sad to see your Father's passing tonight but thankful we believe he passed into heaven! He was a wonderful man - I don't think I ever saw him without a smile! I look at his/your house everyday as I leave work and had been thinking of him a little more than normal lately. I won't be able to be at the funeral as I am going to my Mother's in Georgia tomorrow, but my heart is with you all! Shalom, Joy

So sorry to hear of Mr. Murray's passing. I got to know him over the years when I worked at Piggly Wiggly. He'd come in just about every day, sometimes two or three times a day, but he'd always stop by to say hello and tell me what the river was doing. He'd let me know when the fish were biting good, and what the weather was going to do. I'll never forget what he used to say if the weather wasn't quite what we'd like... "if we could control it, we'd just mess it up," with that great big smile of his... That was his way of saying that he knew God was in control, and he trusted him, and liked it that way. I'll always remember that. Seems like such a small thing, but it had a great impact on me, and I'll always carry that memory with me. That was just his way. Those "small" little ways had a great impact on a lot of people, and he will be greatly missed by many. My deepest condolences and prayers to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Mr. Bishop... I know the fish will always be biting, and the sun will always be smiling down on you in Heaven... it was a great pleasure and privelege to have known you.

Mr. Murray was like a second father to me. Having lived across the street from the Bishop family for my entire childhood, I feel as if their home was mine as well. I will always remember his sense of humor, his support of my mother and me and his wonderful smile. He loved life, nature, and most of all his Lord and family. My husband Charles and I will remember him fondly, and we send our love out to all members of his family at this time.

Mr Murry will always hold a special place in my heart. For 11 years I saw him almost daily & sometimes a few times a day. I remember the last time I saw him thinking that would be the last time that I got that hug & pat on the back...and I was right...that was almost exactly two years ago. Today I know he is in the arms of his Rosine & all is well again. What a true blessing that is! Sending my love to all the family & Friends in SC!
