Marlene was a lovely lady. My family had the privilege of getting to know her when her parents John and Pauline built their home across the street from ours in the Pines in Varnville. My parents always had her over when she was visiting her parents, so we were all delighted when she decided to make her home in SC. It was the icing on the cake when she married Clair. She has been missed since she left town, and now will be doubly missed by all her friends.
