Eddie Warren

June 20, 1935 ~ August 30, 2015 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Mr. Eddie Warren, 80, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro.  He was the husband of the late Betty Jean Robertson Warren, to whom he was married for over 50 years.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.  Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Warren was born June 20, 1935 in Colleton County and was a son of the late Edgar Daniel Warren and Lola Herrin Warren.  He served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired machinist from Asten-Johnson.  He was a member of Zion Baptist Church.  Mr. Warren was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.  He had a soft heart for animals and especially loved his birds.  He loved cooking for his family and friends and considered himself a part-time chef.  Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he had for his family, always following his grandchildren through their sporting events.

Surviving are: his children, Julie Craven and her husband Jerry of Walterboro, and Charles “Chuck” Segura and his wife Ranetta of Walterboro; brother, Tom Warren and his wife Elise of Columbia; sister, Doris Mayo of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jamie Iriel and his fiancé Victoria, Michael Craven, Justin Craven and his wife Jessica, Jordan Craven, Nicholas Segura and his wife Shelby, Matthew Segura and his wife Amanda, Chris Segura and Michael Segura; 19 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Leo Robertson, Sr. and Neyle of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Warren; and a sister, Virginia Verhaeghe.

The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation for the Veteran’s Victory House, their Nurse’s and CNA’s, and Agape Hospice for the loving care they have provided for Mr. Warren through his illness.
