Blue was a such a wonderful man. He loved his country, family and friends. It broke my heart to hear the news of his passing. He lit up a room with his smile, jokes and character. He will be truly missed. The great memories will keep us going, even though it won't be easy. I will always chuckle at the memory of Blue being tased at the Port Royal PD...and him giving me a hard time every time he saw me because I doubled over in laughter that day watching the dreaded 5 second ride. Rest easy now, the ladies and gentlemen in blue will take it from here knowing you will always watch their six.

My heart is broken! As I was looking for Mr. Blue to be outside at Ben Hazel Primary school directing traffic on today, making sure no one cut ahead of the line, but he was no where to be found. But as I was entering into the gate I was told that he passed away Friday. My heart skipped a beat, I was shocked! Why? I have gotten, so use to seeing Blue as if he was apart of my family. I was so sadden and still is sadden to hear bad news about a good kind hearted man whom treated everyone fairly! My prayers goes out to Mr. Blue family. I pray that god will strengthen you all in such a time as this. God bless!

"Blue" was a straight forward and honest man. Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for working with The Hampton Department of Social Services to ensure our most vulnerable citizens, children and adults, are always protected. I am sorry to hear of your loss. When we lose someone in death, the pain, the grief and the feeling of helplessness can seem unbearable. The Bible teaches; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Blue Bolton was one of the men my father held up as an example to those he counseled privately and from behind the bench. I cannot claim the privilege of close association with Blue but from my limited exposure and knowledge of my fathers high regard...this whole community has suffered a loss. I moved to the low country for a new start nearly 10 years ago. Almost immediately he was on my door step showing his compassion. What a wonderful heart and soul the Lord gave this man. I'm so glad he was there for all those stupid problems I had. Thank you Blue for all your help and especially for being my friend..
