Mr. William “Danny” Daniel Cook, 75, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, May 29, 2021, at his residence.
Danny was born September 12, 1945, in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was the son to the late Mr. Herman Ray Cook and the late Mrs. Merle Katherine Walsh Cook. After the passing of his mother, he was raised by his step-mother, Helen Cook.
Mr. Cook was a humble, quiet and easy going guy. He was known to have a great sense of humor and was very dedicated to his job. During his high school career he was involved with many school programs and organizations. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Shortly after his dedicated time serving in the military, he went to college to become a Horticulturist.
He is survived by: his special niece and care giver, Kay Owens of North Charleston; nephews, Billy Owens of Daniels Island, and Tony Bell of Walterboro; his is also survived by a special person he loved to call his “Favorite Grandson”, Brodey Basham.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: his sisters, Carole Judy and Jean Bell.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, June 2, 2021, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Doctor's Creek Churchyard. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at 1 o'clock prior to the service.
