Mr. William Elmo Humphries, 73, of Smoaks, entered into rest Saturday, July 30, 2022, at his residence. He was the loving husband of Tina Ilene Steigler Humphries.
Born March 6, 1949, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Richard Elmo Humphries, Jr., and Emma Louis Postell. Mr. Humphries was known for his love of Hunting and Fishing but most of all the love he had for his family and grandchildren. He was a marble champion.
Surviving are: One son, Billy Humphries (Sandy), two step-sons; Joseph Blair and John Biggs; daughters, Tina Evans(Robert), and Rachel Henderson(Shawn); four brothers, Ronald Edward Humphries, Sr., Clyde Humphries, David Humphries, Sr., and Richard L. Humphries; two sisters, Helen H. Blitch and Darlene H. Young; seven grandchildren, Tyler Evans, Miranda Evans, Tracy Saxon, Mariah Todd, Kain Rahn, Carson Henderson and Parker Henderson; three step -grandchildren, Benjamin Holiday, Cody Lugo and Anailse Biggs and two great-grandchildren, Seth Saxon and Harper Saxon.
Funeral services will be held 10 o’clock, Saturday morning, August 6, 2022 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
