Wilhelmina Nesbitt Obituary

Ms. Wilhelmina “Meme” Young Nesbitt, 53, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her residence. 

 

Born February 26, 1967 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of Louise Young and the late Gilbert Calvin Young, Sr.  She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, daughter, family member and friend.  Most of all, she loved the Lord and didn’t mind sharing that with anyone she met.

 

She is survived by her children, Lavonda Young (Louis) of Goose Creek and Theodore Nesbitt, III of Cottageville; her mother, Louise Young (the late Gilbert Young) of Walterboro; step-father, Charles Johnson of Walterboro; grandchildren, Ashlynn Brown, Ryleigh Brown, Synclair Brown, and Roxie Nesbitt; sisters, Tressie Rivers (David) of Walterboro, Beulah Sweat of Walterboro, and Dileatha Washington of Walterboro; brother, Gilbert Calvin Young, Jr. (Nadine) of Summerville; her children’s fathers, Freddie Cunningham and Theodore Nesbitt, II; special friend, Shelton Brothers; a host of extended family that she loved as her own, including the Gilbert Young, Sr. family and Lonnie Sherill family; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
