Wendy Black

Wendy Marie Black passed away at age 57, in Greer, South Carolina, on March 6, 2023, at Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital.

Wendy was born on October 16, 1965, and was a daughter of Connie Floyd Black Brouthers and the late Bobby Lee Black.

She is survived by: her mom, Connie; brothers, Bobby and Ricky; sister, Sandy; special aunt, Diane McAteer; aunt Dianne Ludlam; and uncles, James Barnes, Eddie Black, and Dennis Black. She is also survived by many more Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend, Megan Covert.  She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby L. Black; stepfather, Richard A. Brouthers; and her special Pop’s, Barry Jennings; and her grandparents.

Funeral services will he conducted 1 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, March 11, 2023, at Little Swamp United Methodist Church, 17465 Hunters Chapel Road, Smoaks, SC, 29481. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 12 noon in the church sanctuary.
