Mr. Vroom William Roscoe, III, known by many as “Bill”, age 68, of Ruffin, entered into rest Tuesday evening, February 16, 2021, at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Born January 26, 1953, in Dover, Delaware, he was a son of the late Vroom William Roscoe, Jr. and the late Doris Virdin Best. “Roscoe” as he was known by many during his working career, knew a strong work ethic. He worked as a line man and tree surgeon. He was strong-willed individual and possessed a talent for playing the guitar. He loved his animals and his garden.
Surviving are: three daughters, Bonnie Bowman of Delaware, Sara Roscoe Herndon and her husband Jason of Walterboro, and Tara Roscoe O’Bryant and her husband Bubba of Walterboro; a brother, Richard Roscoe and his wife Karen of New Jersey; a sister, Faith Robinson of Delaware, and nine grandchildren, Brittany, Michael, William, Preston, Noah, Hunter, Savannah, Haley, and Emily as well as beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ric Roscoe; and a granddaughter, Scarlet Herndon.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, February 20, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend James Petty officiating. Interment will follow in Bedon Baptist Churchyard, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro.
