Mrs. Virginia Altman-Sharp, known by many as “Jenny-Sue”, age 73, of Ridgeville, entered into rest Monday afternoon, April 27, 2020, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Born December 1, 1946, a daughter of the late Barney and Mary Ann Shepherd Padgett, she was a native of Norfolk, Virginia having resided in the Ridgeville area for the past thirty years. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of My Father’s House Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cottageville. She especially enjoyed playing Farm Town.
Surviving are: her husband of thirteen years, Mr. Lowell Franklin Sharp of Ridgeville; three children, Angela Crosby (Delvin) of Walterboro, Peggy Sue Long of Ridgeville, and Melissa Stanley (Marvin) of Walterboro; three step-children, Cassandra Cook (Sam) of Indiana, Christy Davis (Corey) of Tennessee, and Carrissa Sharp of Indiana; a sister, Judy Tindall of Hampton; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and an uncle, Buddy Shepherd and his wife Gloria.
In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances associated with the Coronavirus, the family will hold a private graveside funeral service for Mrs. Virginia at the Altman Memorial Park in Ridgeville.
