Urell Stone

Mrs. Lora Urell Cook Stone, 95, of Moselle, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, September 11, 2022 at her son’s residence.  She was the wife of the late Virgil Nathaniel Stone, Sr. to whom she was married 71 years.

Born January 12, 1927 in Hampton County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Cook and Desi Sullivan Cook.  She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Moselle.  She loved flowers.  She dedicated her life to raising her family and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also loved going to church and serving the Lord. 

Surviving are: her children, Nathaniel Stone, Mark Stone, Ricky Stone, Davey Stone, Ruth Stevenson, Lora Hinton, Wendy Hutto, June Garner, and Dessie Stone; siblings, Ray Cook and Faye Baulknight; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Trey Stevenson; brothers, Daniel Cook and Henry Cook; and sisters, Trudy Dobson, Nell Gates and Daisy Cook.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Carters Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, 6507 Lodge Road, Lodge.
