Mr. Tony Alan Chambers, 67, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon, August 20, 2023, at Colleton Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Born September 27, 1955, in Walterboro, he was the son of Patsy Bailey Chambers and the late Henry Hubert Chambers. After high school, he worked at Asten Hill in Walterboro and then operated his own trucking company, Chambers Trucking, until his health caused him to retire. He was a member of Canadys First Baptist Church. Tony was an avid outdoorsman who loved to farm, fish, and hunt in his younger days and also enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains.
Surviving are: his mother, Patsy Bailey Chambers; sisters, Cheryl Pinillos (Richard) and Donna Chambers Brown; nephews, Michael Risher (Brandi), Derek Seigler (Cassandra), Richard Pinillos (Katherine) and Nicholas Pinillos (Andrea); and special longtime friends, Chris Bailey and Danny Rae Coe. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Margaret Chambers, David E. Bailey, Sr., and Maggie W. Bailey.
The family would especially like to thank the ICU staff at Colleton Medical, the Trident Cancer Center Team, and Amedisys Health Care for their compassion and excellent care.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock, Wednesday morning, August 23, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
