Timothy Legare Spires

Timothy Legare Spires, 67, of Livingston, entered into eternal rest following an illness Friday, October 20, 2023, at MUSC Health in Orangeburg. He was born May 6, 1956, in Bamberg County, and was a son of the late Walter Legare Spires and Helen Gibson Spires.

Timothy is remembered as a hardworking man who worked with sheet rock most of his life.

He is survived by his spouse of 19 years, Ms. Mary Ann Fanning; a brother, Mark R. Spires of St. Matthews; sisters, Wanda Herndon and her husband Ronald of Walterboro, Janice Corbett of Walterboro, and Jamie Tucker and her husband Mike of Pelion; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Spires Westbury; and a brother-in-law, Roy Corbett.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions in Mr. Spires’ name be made to the American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 6704 Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.
