Ted Malcom McMillan

Mr. Ted Malcom McMillan, 79, of Smoaks, entered into rest Thursday morning, October 19, 2023, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.  He was the husband of the late AnnaMae Hiott McMillan.  

Born June 24, 1944, in Lodge, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Benjie Bee McMillan and the late Viola Preister McMillan.  He was a retired machinery fixer from CCX and was also a longtime farmer.  He was a member of Jacksonboro Baptist Church and also attended Berea Advent Christian Church.  Ted was an avid equestrian who enjoyed horseback riding and loved horses of all breeds.  

Surviving are: long time girlfriend, Pat Smtih; son, Jeremy McMillan and his wife April of Smoaks; a grandson, Matthew Ted McMillan; two brothers, Ben Riddick McMillan (Deborah) of Tennessee and Ben Henry McMillan (Alice) of Colston; and a sister-in-law, Joyce McMillan of Summerville.  He was preceded in death by a brother, John Richard McMillan; and a sister, Helen McMillan Stallings. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in his memory to:  Disabled American Veterans.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, October 24, 2023, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.   Interment will follow in Jacksonboro Baptist Churchyard, 14749 Jacksonboro Highway, Jacksonboro.
