Funeral services for Mr. Steve Dalton Griner, age 25, who entered into rest Monday, December 21, 2020, will be conducted 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, January 7, 2020, from the Walterboro Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1035 Dandridge Road, Walterboro. President Burley Black officiating. Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery, Wesley Chapel Road, Round O. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral at the Walterboro Branch beginning at 1 o’clock. Those in attendance are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Born March 30, 1995, in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Tracy Lane Snook Williams and the late Steve Hardy Griner. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Walterboro Branch. He loved the outdoors, having enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a talented person, possessing an ability at drawing as well as writing poems and short stories.
Surviving are: his mother of Round O; his son, Elias Liam Griner; his wife, Shelia Ann Carswell; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Snook Woodson and her husband Dennis of Round O; his maternal grandfather, Rodney L. Snook and his wife Judith of Norfolk, Virginia; two sisters, Courtney Lauren Williams and Madison Alexis Griner; a niece, Freyja; as well as aunts and uncles, Kjersti Franklin (Douglas), Melissa DeBrucker, Rodney Snook (Monica), Jason Snook (Wendy),Pansy Jarrell, Jessica Holmes (Brad) and great-aunt, Helen Ferguson.
