Mrs. Shelba Jean Fralix, 80, of Loris, South Carolina, passed away on November 2, 2021 at Loris Hospital after a short illness. She was born on December 23, 1940, in Lodge, South Carolina, to Bancroft and Idalia Fralix.
Shelba was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who loved her family and friends with all of her heart. For nearly 30 years she was a licensed nurse practitioner and gave her patients exceptional love and care. She loved to sew and make beautiful quilts for all of her family and friends.
She is survived by: her loving son, Michael A. Carter and his wife Victoria; a brother, Ernie R. Fralix and his wife, Robin; daughter-in-law, Uli Carter, grandsons; Derek Carter and his wife, Courtney, Sven Carter and his wife, Roxanne; and great grandsons, Levi and Killian Carter.
She is preceded in death by her son David B. Carter and grandson, Jeffrey M. Carter.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, November 5, 2021, at Carter’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, located on Highway 217 in Lodge, South Carolina.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 o’clock.
