Sharon K. Grossie Bunton

Mrs. Sharon K. Grossie Bunton, 72, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday, April 2, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was a lifelong member of Hendersonville Baptist Church.   

Born March 7, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida, she was a daughter to the late Mr. Edmund Ezra Alexander Grossie and Mrs. Nellie Mae Ayers Grossie. 

To her children she was a beloved Mom.  Mrs. Bunton adored her family, but most importantly her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  During her life she has always been a caring and affectionate person in each of her family’s lives.  Always ready to help in any way she possibly could, by guidance and teaching them throughout life because no matter what, she loved her family unconditionally.        

Surviving are her four children, Phillip Bunton, Jr. (Leslie) of Walterboro,  Bert Jimmison (Diane) of Middleburg, FL, Carlene Barros (Tony) of Walterboro, and Elizabeth Barros (Roger) of Walterboro; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Hallmark of Boston, Ma. and Dot Grossie of Walterboro.  Her long time companion and dear friend, Phillip Bunton, Sr., also surviving are her several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by two brothers and the father and step-father to her children, Forrest Jimmison.
