Robert Michael Hinz, Jr.,72, of Walterboro, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 22, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. Born November 8, 1947 in Melrose Park, Illinois, he is the son of the late Mr. Robert M. Hinz, Sr. and the late Mrs. Edna Marie Hinz. He was married 33 years to Mrs. Elaine Maureen Bledsoe Hinz.

Mr. Hinz had a great hobby for hard-scaping with cement. With sure interest in his hobby, he constructedover several years intricate projects in the yard that certainly drew your eye. He took great pride in his work and for many years owned and operated his own business named Big Dog Distributors. For many years,he and his wife traveled nearby counties delivering products with Sunbeam Bread and later Archway Cookies and Snyder Pretzels. He possessed an enormous love for Great Danes, adopting and raising several K9 companions over many years. Mr. Hinz proudly served his country in the United States Navy, was an avid Chicago Bears fan and well known and will be greatly missed for his interest and great talents with cooking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his daughter, Eva Lorraine Franks and husband, James, of Montana; his two sons, Jim Solvik, of Walterboro and William Michael Hinz and wife, Sherry, of Whiteville, North Carolina. A sister Judith H. Marcell of North Dakota. A niece and Nephew, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances associated with the Coronavirus a Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in Mr. Hinz memory to:Holly Hill Sanctuary, 5604 New Rd, Hollywood, SC 29449.
