Mr. Robert Earl Causey, 81, of Furman, passed away Friday. September 4, 2020 at his residence.
Born August 18, 1939 in Hampton County, he was a son of the late Horace Earl Causey and Mary Edna Crosby Williams Causey. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Westinghouse and then retried from Seckinger Forest Products. He was a member of Steep Bottom Baptist Church and Stafford Masonic Lodge. Mr. Robert was always known as a hard-working man who loved hunting and farming. He also enjoyed growing his garden and shrimping. Most of all he loved his family and lived for his grandchildren and great grandchild.
Surviving are: his wife of 55 years, Peggy Seckinger Causey of Furman; children, Chinon Conder and her husband Jeff of Furman and Roby Causey and his wife Jenifer of Walterboro; grandchildren, Rachel Conder Winn and her husband Jonathan, Michaela Conder, Tracy Causey and his wife Amanda, and Dylan Causey; and great grandchild, Zane Winn. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Williams Murphy and Margie Williams Phillips Godley; and a brother, John George “Johnnie” Causey.
Funeral services will be held 5 o’clock, Tuesday evening, September 8, 2020 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
