Riley Austin

Mr. William Riley Austin, Sr., age 73, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday evening, July 30, 2020 at the Pruitt Health Care Center in Walterboro.

Born December 30, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Albert Ernest Austin and the late Audrey Mae Bunch Austin.  He served our country faithfully in the United States Army and was a mechanic.  

Surviving are: a son, William Riley Austin, Jr.; a daughter, Corley Bailey; two sisters, Ann Iriel of Walterboro and Cindy George and her husband Ray of Walterboro; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Bazzle and her husband Doug; a brother, David Austin and his wife Lizzie; and a brother-in-law Whaley Iriel. 

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock Thursday morning, August 6, 2020 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends from 10 o’clock until the hour of service Thursday.
