Mrs. Rena Bailey Smoak, 65, of Walterboro, entered into rest Monday evening, September 13, 2021, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
Born August 9, 1956, in Savannah Georgia, she was a daughter of Ernest Bailey and Frances Daring Monette. She will always be remembered for the love she possessed for her family and others as well as the joy lighthouses brought to her life.
Surviving in addition to her father of Summerville and her mother of Walterboro are: two sons, Matthew Smoak (Chelsey) of Walterboro and Travis Groves (Sarah) of Minnesota; her devoted companion, David W. Lyons of Walterboro; two brothers, Ray Bailey and Kevin Bailey both of Walterboro; a sister, Louise Player of Kansas; two grandchildren, Tessa Godley and Kathryn Smoak; two great grandchildren, Jaylyn Godley and Christopher Wilson; and her beloved dog, “Mocha”. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Micelle Poston; and a sister, Lynn Ricker.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, September 17, 2021, from the graveside at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
