Mrs. Rachel Crosby Davis, 50, of Ruffin, entered into rest Tuesday afternoon, September 7, 2021, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro. She was the wife of the late Mr. James Franklin Davis.
Born January 2, 1971, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Clifton William Crosby, Sr. and the late Clara Mae James Crosby. She was a devoted homemaker with a huge heart. She enjoyed fishing and working crosswords and will always be remembered for the love she had for her grandchildren. She loved going to church and was a member of Marion Baptist Church in Williams.
Surviving are: a son, John Ross Davis (Shirley) of Walterboro; three daughters, April Crosby of Smoaks, Suellen Davis (Kevin Nettles) of Ruffin, and Debra Volp (Krystopher) of Bishopville; four brothers, Clifton William Crosby, Jr., Leo H. Crosby, Charles E. Crosby, and Frank James Crosby; two sisters, Linda C. Hiott and Susie C. Jones; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, September 11, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Kenny Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery.
