Patricia Smith

Mrs. Patricia Nettles Smith, 77, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Trident Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Ellis Lloyd Smith.

Born February 16, 1945 in Colleton County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Nettles and Bertha Bunton Nettles.  She was a retired home health aide and caregiver.  She was a faithful member of Tabor United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Tabor Ladies Society as well as the Caring and Sharing Circle.  Mrs. Patricia was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, where she served as Chaplin.  She also loved reading and studying her Bible. 

Surviving are: her children, Timothy Prince and his wife Charlene of Newberry, David Padgett of Hampton, Amy Davis of Goose Creek and Jimmy Nettles of Ruffin; 7 grandchildren; and a brother, Albert Sherry Nettles of Summerville.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jenny Smith; and a brother, Ashley Nettles. 

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Friday, April 22, 2022 at Tabor United Methodist Church, 7186 Bells Highway, Ruffin.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation prior to the funeral service beginning at 11 o’clock in the church sanctuary.
