Marla Jean Boatwright Obituary

Mrs. Marla Jean Boatwright, 70, of Yemassee, entered into rest Friday afternoon, October 27, 2023, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Born November 6, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Greer O’Brien and Gwendolyn Crosby O’Brien. She worked in the vending and food service industry and will always be remembered for her strong work ethic.

Surviving are: two sons, Edward Lee Boatwright of Denver, Colorado and Edward Patrick Boatwright (Stephanie Hawkins) of Yemassee; three grandchildren, Kayle Ginn, Lily Boatwright, and Connor Boatwright; a brother, Steve O'Brien of Yemassee; and two sisters, Diane Ford of Georgia and Kathy Dixon of Walterboro. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce O’Brien.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
