Mr. Loreto Armenta,Jr., known by many as “Tito”, age 71, entered into rest Tuesday afternoon, February 18, 2020, at his home in Walterboro.
Born February 12, 1949, in Mexico, he was retired from the United States Navy after twenty-four years of service. He was a good man and a friend to many. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Surviving are: his wife, Victoria Lorrain Harrison Armenta; a son, Larry Michael Armenta; three step-children, Sandra Lee, Ashley Harrison, and Robert Hammond; a grandchild, William Lee, Jr.; several sisters, Sylvia Canales, Cylvia Campos, Virginia Diaz, Rosie Alva, Frances Lara, Fala Jimenez and Alma Saucedo; he is also survived by a brother, Juan Armenta, and a best friend, William Lee, Sr. He is preceded in death by a sister, Artemiza Canales.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
A memorial service with Veteran Honors will be conducted 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2020, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Mr. William Lee, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 1 o’clock.
