Mrs. Linda Bridgers Roberts, 79, of Walterboro, entered into rest Sunday evening, September 20, 2020 at her residence. She was the widow of the late Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” Roberts.
Born August 11, 1941 in Wilson, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Lucian Elijah Bridgers and Lily Mavis Ellen Bridgers. She was a retired schoolteacher having taught in Wilson, NC and retired from the Colleton County School District. She was an avid piano player and loved teaching music to children. She loved to travel and enjoyed fishing and reading. She loved her family dearly, always caring for each of them with a kind and giving spirit.
Surviving are: children, Dawn Pasquarelli and her husband Paul of Clayton, North Carolina, and Sherry Roberts Ghostlaw, Marshall C. Roberts, Mark A. Roberts, and Matthew Kevin Roberts, all of Walterboro; sister-in-law, Joyce Roberts of Cottageville; brother, Steve Bridgers of North Carolina; sisters, Debbie Fletcher and Joy Joiner, both of North Carolina; grandchildren, Ashely Strickland, Robyn Hendricks, Preston Waller and his wife Karla Beth, Shane Roberts, Charles Cook, Timmy Reeves, Chasity McMillan, and Becky Clore; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Michael Lee Raper, Tony J. Roberts and Rodger Kim Roberts; a grandson, Shawn Roberts; and a brother, Kenneth Bridgers.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amedysis Hospice for the care they gave to Mrs. linda, especially her nurses and caregivers, Heather DeLong, April Mixson, LaBeth McDonnell, Domeeka Garrett, and Michelle Morrison.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2020 at Live Oak Cemetery, South Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
