Mr. Kirby Lee Evans, age 67, of Walterboro, entered into rest Thursday morning, August 13, 2020 at Trident Medical Center.
Born March 30, 1953, in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Mr. Chesley Laneer Evans and the Late Mrs. Mamie Groves Evens. Mr. Kirby served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a dump truck driver for the highway department for many years
He was a strong willed person who always shared his happiness with those around him. He will be remembered as a family man, an understanding father and friend to many. Always reliable and would never turn his back on anyone. Mr. Evans truly loved his family and his family loved him, but he always kept a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.
Surviving are: his daughter and caretaker, Brandi Marie Evans of Walterboro; his son, Nakia C. Evans and his wife, Angela of Cottageville; grandchildren, Chesley Couick, Joshua Couick, Jasmine Evans, Marble Evans and Megus Evans; sisters, Joyce Baxter and her husband , Maxie and Sarah O’Quinn both of Walterboro.
Mr. Evans is preceded in death by a son, Chad Evans; and a brother, Jack Evans.
A private family burial will be held at a later time.
