Mr. Justin Brady Jones, 42, of Islandton, entered into rest early Saturday morning, November 9, 2019.
Born May 18, 1977, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, he was a son of Johnnie and Darlene Smoak Jones. He a was graduate of Andrew Jackson Academy and was a right-of-way group supervisor with Edisto Electric Cooperative in Bamberg for the past eighteen years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was a member of L A Hunting Club. Justin enjoyed attending and participating in his children’s school athletics and was their greatest fan. He possessed a special passion for operating a chainsaw and played with a traveling ball team the “LA Express” in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Lodge are: his wife of nineteen years, Niki Crosby Jones; a son, Austin Lee Jones (Taylor Strickland); a daughter, Kearsen Bradie Jones; a brother, Josh Jones and his wife Rhonda of Lodge and their two children, Peighton and Easton. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Lanier Crosby, Sr. of Ruffin; a brother-in-law, Little Bubba Crosby and his wife Christin of Barnwell; two sisters-in-law, J. J. Cone and her husband Michael of Sycamore and Jalyn Crosby of Ruffin; two nieces, Oaklynn Crosby and McKenzie Crosby; and two nephews, Mason Cone and Carson Cone. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Judy Kinard Crosby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon, November 11, 2019, in Ashton Baptist Church, 5156 Willow Swamp Road, Lodge. The Reverend Gordon Ackerman and The Reverend Danny Fogle officiating. Interment will follow in Ashton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends during a time of a visitation prior to the funeral ceremony Monday afternoon beginning at 1 o’clock in the church sanctuary.
