Mrs. Juanita Robertson, 84, entered into rest Saturday evening, July 27, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Cottageville while under the care of Compassus Hospice.
Born December 6, 1934, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late George Hampton Robertson and the late Minnie Lee Cook Robertson. She possessed a strong work ethic and was a lifelong seamstress, having worked for many years with Varnville-Hampton Apparel and eventually retiring from Vestra Industries in Smoaks. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving are: two children, Joseph E. Hughes and Nancy Marie Pye and her husband Mickey of Cottageville; three grandchildren, April Mixon, Mickey Joe Pye and his wife Tina, Rebecca Mixon Canaday and her husband Kevin; four great grandchildren, Michelle Pye, ,Mackenzie Seigler, Sheldon Canaday, Diamond Mixon, and Bristol Canaday; and her son-in-law, Ricky Mixon and his companion who Juanita had a special relationship with, Loretta. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Mixon; and a granddaughter, Angel Marie Pye.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Compassus Hospice for the love and care they provided in the last few days of Mrs. Juanita’s life.

Funeral services will be conducted 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2019, from the graveside in Mount Carmel United Methodist Churchyard, 5277 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
