Mr. Joseph Dean Rumfelt, 58, of Walterboro entered into rest Saturday morning, October 31st at his residence.
He was born September 15, 1962, in Muncie, Indiana, a son of James Edward Rumfelt and Anna Mae Woolum Rumfelt. He was a owner of the McDonalds in Walterboro for over thirty years. He was a pleasant person who was always making dad jokes and was the life of the party. He loved to fish and he played the guitar having been in the band,
“Black Gum Sally” and “Nearly Normal”. He was known for being a selfless person.
Surviving are his father; his sons, James D. Rumfelt (Hannah) of Beaufort and Joseph “Joey” Dean Rumfelt II of Walterboro; his grandchildren, Owen, Brom, Anderson, Finnley and Layla McCranie; brother, Michael Rumfelt of Walterboro and his mixed terrier, Bullet . He is also survived by his great-aunt, Betty Shepard and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and his sister, Rebecca “Becky” Kiser.
A memorial service will held Saturday, November 14th at 1:00 PM in our Walterboro Chapel. Visitation with family and friends will follow.
