Jose Luis Quinones Obituary

Mr. Jose Luis Quinoñes, age 69, of Walterboro, SC went to be the lord on June 12th, 2021. He was born in Manhattan, New York,  He was the son of the late Luisa Elena and the late Jose Luis Quinoñes. Though Jose grew up in the city, he later relocated and fell in love with the south,  where he spent the remainder of his days.

With a lifelong passion for music, Jose would be a part of many musical acts throughout his life and would go on to inspire many members of his family to continue that love for music. When he wasn’t pursuing music, he worked for the US Navy as a drafting engineer, which allowed him to practice his drawing skills, leading to another artistic pursuit, his drawing and painting. Jose also enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his two dogs, Spartacus and Keanu. But most of all, Jose loved his family and loved spending time with them any chance he could.

Jose is survived by two sisters Gladys Pazmino and Isabel Shipmon, one son Luca Quinoñes, his mother Marsha Duncan, brother in laws Ronald Pazmino and Lemuel Shipmon, sister-in-laws Yvette Cancel and Rebecca Peets, and many loving nieces, nephews, and their families.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Carlos Cancel, his sister-in-law Danni Wright and her husband Keith Wright.
