On Saturday, September 11, 2021, our Lord called Jonathan “John” Franklin Parker home. He was 57 years old.
He is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Rose, Ed, Ledford, and Sarah; 8 nieces and 7 nephews; special nieces, Jessica (and daughter, Sarah) and Amanda (and son, Tristan); numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; long-time friends, Linda and Kristine; and caregiver Shon; and his church family.
He now joins his parents, Margie Wilson and Paul Parker; sisters Mearl, Betty, and Libby; and his neighbor and friend, Betty in their eternal home. His beloved and faithful companion Lucy will be laid to rest alongside him.
Jonathan was born March 5, 1964 in Orangeburg, SC, and was a graduate of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, Class of 1983. He was a devout member of the Ehrhardt Southern Methodist Church where he attended and was baptized.
Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Jonathan will live on in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held 11 o’clock Friday morning, September 17, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in South End Cemetery. The service will be live broadcasted through the Brice Herndon Facebook page for those unable to attend.
