John Willis

Mr. John Christopher “Chris” Willis, 57, of Swansea, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, May 28, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born December 28, 1965, in Charleston, he was a son of Donna Lee Willis and the late Joseph Lincoln Willis. Chris was always smiling and had a way about him that made everyone love him.  He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, and restoring cars.  Although he was a “gruff” kind of man, he had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease and pick on everyone.  He loved his family, especially his mom and dad.

Surviving are: his mother, Donna Willis of Charleston; daughters, Amber Shaw and Kaylee Willis; brother, Joseph Lincoln Willis, Jr.; sisters, Stacy Weathersbee (Philip) and Debbie Linder (Johnny); grandchildren, Charly Capps, Alyssa Capps, and Arizona Willis; one niece; five nephews; and his pit bull, Diesel. 

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, June 2, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
