Mr. John Bernard Ridgle, 78, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Monday evening, April 25, 2022 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Donna Bray Ridgle.
Born September 2, 1943 in Georgetown County, he was the son of the late Johnnie McDuffie Ridgle and Eliza Jane Castleman Ridgle. He was a retired automotive mechanic and owned R&R Garage for over 30 years in Hardeeville, South Carolina. He was an active member and deacon of the Hardeeville Baptist Church for over 30 years until he moved to Walterboro in 2009. After moving to Walterboro, he became a member of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a past Grand Master of the Hardeeville Masonic Lodge. He had a passion for cars and restoring antique vehicles. He enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was able, could always fix anything, and was always willing to help anyone he could. Most of all, he loved his Lord and his family.
Surviving are: his children, Vicki Parker (Jon) of Waycross, Georgia and Kenna Robertson (Roy) of Ruffin; step children, Jeff Cramer and Connie Meyer; sister, Dianna Yarbrough; a special uncle, Luther Ridgle of Andrews; 9 grandchildren, Kelly Chisom, Ashley Koger, Adam Robertson, Jamiee Robertson, Jesse Paul Tilson, JR Tilson, Joshua Tilson, Tim Burkhart, and Alicia Coombes; several nieces and nephews; his faithful four-legged child, Oscar; and his best friend, Fred Crosby. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Marie Burkhart; and a sister, Emily Long.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon, April 29, 2022 at Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church, 126 Doctor’s Creek Road, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
