John Richardson Burlingame, Jr.

John Burlingame, 75, of Walterboro, South Carolina passed peacefully on September 14, 2023 with his devoted Bonnie Mesick by his side.

 He was born October 31, 1947, to Rosemary and John Burlingame. John was the most loving and devoted partner of Bonnie Mesick; father to his Daughters Paula (David) Haefner ,Kathlene, and Darrell, 3 step daughters Sharon, Tammy and Debbie and step son Gary; grandfather to Taylor Falkner, Elijah Falkner, Hannah Haefner and many grand and great grandchildren; brother to Dorothy and Edward Budriss; an uncle of three nephews, Edward (Heather), Gregory (Danielle)and Scott Budriss and great uncle Addison, and Joseph Budriss.

John was a true believer in education. Upon Graduation, from Island Tree High School in

Levittown, NY, he attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale to study Agriculture. During that time he was called to duty to serve his country in Vietnam.

John entered Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa after his time in the army,  as a decorated soldier,  and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic.  In later years, John followed his dream with a career in agriculture and farming. He retired in Walterboro, South Carolina. He loved his family and his dog Zip! He will be missed by all.
