Mrs. Jennifer Whitt Williams, age 44, of Lodge, entered into rest Friday afternoon, April 17, 2020, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 5, 1975, in Augusta, Georgia, she was raised in Bamberg, South Carolina prior to making her home in Lodge. She was a daughter of Mr. Charles Clifford Whitt and the late Mrs. Gayle Smoak Whitt. Jennifer graduated with a degree in Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counseling, having worked in this field and also, she worked in the office of the family’s business, Williams Farms. She attended along with her family at Carter’s Ford Baptist Church in Lodge. She was currently serving as President of the Parent Teacher Organization at Andrew Jackson Academy. Jennifer was in every sense an outside gal. She was enthusiastic about hunting, fishing, and going to Edisto Beach. She treasured every moment that she could spend with her son. She was a talented artist, having often painted scenes of Edisto Beach.
Surviving are: her husband of seventeen years, Mr. William Anthony Williams; a son, William Anthony Williams, Jr. of the home; her father, Charles of Bamberg; a brother, Joseph Whitt and his wife Tracey of Bamberg; and a sister, Michelle Whitt Kirby and her husband Dean of Eutawville; as well as a several nieces and a nephews and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and extended family all of whom she loved and adored. She is also survived by William Anthony’s father and mother, Jimmy and Faye Cook Williams; and his two brothers, Mark Williams and his wife Lynn and James Williams and his wife Lisa and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Carter’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Post Office Box 1, Lodge, South Carolina 29082.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, April 22, 2020, from the graveside in Carter’s Ford Baptist Churchyard, 6507 Lodge Highway, Lodge. Those that wish may attend and are invited. In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances associated with the Coronavirus, those attending will be asked to remain in their vehicles and observe the service and listen as it will be broadcasted. Directions will be provided as you enter the cemetery. For those that cannot attend, the funeral service will be live streamed from The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapels and Crematory Facebook page and website.
