Mrs. Jean Hogg Meador, 87, of Walterboro, entered into rest Monday evening, July 12, 2021, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Born April 1, 1934, In Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Hogg and the late Vernice Haynes Hogg. She was a trust officer with Virginia National Bank where she worked a long and dedicated career, having started with the bank on the bottom floor and eventually working herself up to the trust department. Following her career in banking, because of her dear love for animals, she started working for Dr. Honaker in administration at his Bay Beach Veterinarian Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She eventually made Walterboro her home, where she became a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and sang in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her dear cousin, Jane Rowe Immel and is survived by Jane’s husband, Jerald and his children, Jeanette and Jefferey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, July 17, 2021, from Black Creek Baptist Churchyard, 4931 Black Creek Road, Walterboro.
