James “Jamie” Monroe Cummings, III, 50, of Myrtle Beach, entered into rest Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Grand Strand Medical.
Born April 23, 1972, in Hampton, South Carolina he was a son of James Monroe Cummings, Jr., and Betty Victoria Polk Cotterman. Jamie ranked high in his classes at John C. Calhoun High School, later attending the University of South Carolina. Jamie was a man who loved the outdoors, he had a passion for fresh water fishing and hunting. He enjoyed sports, pulling for the Carolina Gamecocks, enjoyed watching baseball and playing co-ed adult Softball most of his life. Jamie loved playing with his children and was known as a “prankster” with a very good sense of humor. He had a deep love for his Labradors, Hershey and River. Jamie was a hard working man who enjoyed being a professional businessman and always enjoyed helping others.
Surviving are: his wife, Nailya Cummings; his children, Kai Alexander Cummings and Liam Adrian Cummings; parents, James “Buddy” M. Cummings, Jr.(Linda), and Vickie Polk Cotterman (Bob); Step-brother, J.R. Cotterman (Brandi); two step-sisters, Joni Penfield( Larry) and Sara Nettles (Robbie) and a half sister, Jeri Lyn Tew(Ron). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 ‘clock, Thursday afternoon, September 29, 2022, at Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home- Walterboro Chapel. Interment to follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
