Mr. James Edward Beach, 80, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday morning, May 24, 2022, at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summerville.
Born July 21, 1941, in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Lewis Houston Beach and the late Ethel Jane Robertson Beach. He was a retired logger and lifelong member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. In his earlier years, he was a member of Davis Pasture Hunting Club. He was avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed both alongside his late wife and grandson Casey.
Surviving are: two sons, Jimmy Beach of Walterboro and Allen Beach and his wife Melissa of Athens, Georgia; one daughter, Faith Nettles and her husband Michael of Walterboro; four step-children, Susan Maley of Walterboro, Dean O’Quinn and his wife Sharon of Camden, Curt O’Quinn and his wife Sue of Grand Marais, Minnesota, and Shannon Bishop and her husband Pete of Islandton; and six grandchildren, Austin Beach, Jamie Beach, Casey O’Quinn, Marlin Bishop, Aiden Nettles, and Peyton Nettles. He also has one surviving brother-in-law, Parker Lyons; two surviving sisters-in-law, Helen Beach and Maxine Beach; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Driggers Beach; two step-sons, Gary Beach and David Beach; eight brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o’clock, Saturday morning, May 28, 2022 from the graveside at Mount Carmel United Methodist Churchyard, 5277 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro. The Reverend Douglas Marchant officiating.
