Mrs. Jaqueline Wilson Johansen, 74, of Ruffin, formerly of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away Sunday evening, August 20, 2023, surrounded by her family at home after a brief battle with cancer.
Born July 29, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Warren Wilson and Romilda Goldschmidt Knuckles Wilson. She was a retired nurse and had also worked for Citizens Bank in Cranston, RI. Mrs. Johansen was caring, supportive of her family, was always willing to help anyone she could, and always wanted to make sure everyone else was taken care of. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, hardworking, and loved to be a jokester.
Surviving are: her husband of 54 years, Robert Paul Johansen of Ruffin; children, Jay Paul Johansen of Summerville, Jeanine Marie Johansen (John James) of Ruffin, Joseph Earl Johansen of Ruffin, Jeffrey Robert Johansen (Erin Fontaine) of Ruffin; grandchildren, Nicholas Biondi and Alyssa Johansen; great grandchild, Autumn Hall; sister, Rosalee Hoxie of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister-in-law, Anna Wilson of Longwood, Florida; and her beloved grand dogs, Buddy and Chance. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ernest Knuckles, William Wilson, Jr., Jay Wilson, and David Wilson.
