Gwyn Elaine Kinard, 71, of Ruffin, passed away Tuesday morning, September 1, 2020, at her daughters home under the care of her husband. She was born April 28, 1949 in Charleston County, SC. Mrs. Kinard was a daughter to the late Mr. William Buddy Ward and the late Mrs. Nelly Roundtree Ward.
Mrs. Kinard had an immense passion for different types of crafting. Ceramics and painting being her most pleasurable hobbies, she once was the President of the South Carolina Ceramics Association and owned a ceramic shop for four years. Her and her husband shared a love for cooking in their thirty-four years of marriage and she was well known by many as an independent woman who definitely spoke her mind.
In addition to her husband, Mr. Harold Kinard, Jr., she is survived by: sons, Carey Proveaux of Lexington, SC, and Ricky M. Sineath of Walterboro, SC; daughters, Sherry Proveaux of Pelion, SC, and Erin Lucas of Walterboro, SC, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, William “Bubba” Ward of Summerville, SC; and sisters, Greta Burage of Goose Creek, SC and Gale Stroud of Moncks Corner, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Sineth.
