Mr. Glenn Hampton Brabham, 83, formerly of Olar, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, October 14, 2023, at Barrington Terrace in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was the husband of the late Gwendolyn Bennett Brabham.
Born June 23, 1940, in Olar, he was a son of the late Lewis Osborne Brabham and Marie Smoak Brabham. He grew up in Olar and attended Olar High School. In 1957, after graduating high school, enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and retired from the United States Air Force in 1979. He served his country for 22 years with honors. He served his community as the volunteer fire chief for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olar.
Surviving are: his children, Kim Niese and her husband Jim of Sugar Land, Texas, Shari Brabham of Tucson, Arizona, and Lance Brabham and his wife Martha of Coral Springs, Florida; step children, Ray Morris and his wife Lori of St. Mary’s, Georgia, Teresa and Stevie Edwards of Barnwell, South Carolina, Randy Morris and his wife Angie of Barnwell, South Carolina, and Ruth Gooding of Statesville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Rolin, Blake and Bryson Morris, T.J. and Matthew Gooding, Chad, Randy and Brittany Morris, Nikki Hanna, Sydney Oldham and Travis Long, Kaelan and Kyla Brabham, Zander and Oliver Brabham; great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, L.O. Brabham, Jr., Roy Brabham, Robert Brabham, Ann Sandifer and Lula Bell Walling.
Funeral services will be held 1 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, October 21, 2023, at Kearse United Methodist Church, 8797 Lowcountry Highway, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in the Kearse-Brabham Cemetery.
