Gilbert Tracy Beasley

Mr. Gilbert Tracy Beasley, 63, of Walterboro, entered into rest Tuesday morning, June 29, 2021, at the St. George Nursing Center. 

Born December 4, 1957, in Millen, Georgia, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Beasley and the late Louise Joyner Beasley.  Gil worked and retired as a meat marker manager having worked with IGA and Doschers.  He was a member of Evergreen Christian Church in Walterboro and was formerly active at the First Christian Church in Walterboro where he family has attended and worshiped for many years.   He loved fishing, hunting, cooking, good food and fellowship.  He knew scriptures and he knew the importance of family and gathering together with his family was always of the utmost importance to him.  

Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Donna Couch Beasley; a son, Austin Beasley; step-children, Amanda Altman (Brandon), Courtney Ross (Robbie), Angie Avant (John), and Scott DeWitt (Christy); three brothers, Jimmie Beasley (Chris), Terrell Beasley, and Kyle Beasley (Sharon); a sister, Glennis Burke; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Chelsey, Owen, Landon, Easton, Augustus, and Kensley; one great grandchild; and a brother -in-law, John B. Stanfield.  He was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert; second wife, Brenda Ann Beasley; and a sister, Cathy Beasley Stanfield. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon, July 2, 2021, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.    The Reverend Ricky Crosby officiating.   The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony.
