George H. Wynn, Jr., 67, of Walterboro, SC, entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2020 at the Colleton Medical Center.
He was born in Clinton, North Carolina on June 25, 1952 to the late Mr. George Henry Wynn, Sr. and the late Mrs. Clarice Cecil Creech Wynn.
George loved his three children more than anything. They were the light of his life and he was theirs. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Navy on the USS America. He worked on the flight deck retrieving planes as they landed. He found his passion in wood working while working at Hatteras Yachts and became a amazing wood turner. He loved going to the market in New Bern, N.C where he could show off his bowls and see others craftsmanship. He loved people, never met a stranger. He was a huge Duke Blue Devil basketball fan. He loved living his life to the fullest. He was a kind, God loving man who will forever be in our hearts. Go Duke!
He leaves behind his three children, Caryn McGillivray and her husband Richard, Allyson Wynn and Chris Wynn, all of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Steve Wynn and his wife, Kimberly and Phillip Wynn. He also is survived by two grandchildren, Gavin Wynn and Alyssa McGillivray. Mr. Wynn was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Wynn.
A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
