Mr. George Todd, Sr., 71, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday morning, May 27, 2021 at his residence.
Born June 20, 1949 in Conway, he was a son of the late Clyde Todd and Viva Mae Marsh Todd. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Department of Natural Resources, where he retired in 2010. After his retirement, he went to work for Richard Wood and eventually worked for Casey Ferguson. Mr. George was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, working in his garden, wildlife and nature. He loved animals and especially his dog “Benji” who was a very close part of his heart. He was a member of Coosawhatchie Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his wife, Barbara Sparks Todd of Walterboro; son, George Todd, Jr. and his wife Melanie of Walterboro; grandchildren, Wyatt and Mariah; and one he loved as a sister, Annette Todd.
Fuenral services will be held 2 o’clock, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
