Mr. Frank Herbert Jacques, Jr., affectionately known to everyone as “Frankie” or “Gator”, 44, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, January 28, 2022.
Born March 31, 1977 in Charleston, he was a son of Frank Herbert Jacques, Sr. and Donna Lynne Driggers Smyly. Frankie was a well-known hunting guide at Brosan Forest in St. George. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and running fox dogs. He was an excellent cook who was well known for his BBQ sauce and loved to cook for his family and friends and fellowship with everyone.
Surviving are: his wife of 17 years, Rachel Abrams Jacques of Cottageville; son, Wesley Quay Jacques of Cottageville; mother and step-father, Donna Lynne and Gregory Smyly of Ruffin; father and step-mother, Frank and Golda Jacques of Cottageville; brothers, Mark Monroe Jacques of Cottageville and Edward Allen Jacques and his wife Samantha of Cottageville; father and mother-in-law, Sheldon and Sharon Abrams; nephews, Edward Allen Jacques, Jr. and Shawn Hunter Jacques; sister-in-law, Melanie A. Lindenberg and her husband David, and their children, Emma, Molly, and Eli; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, February 3, 2022 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will be held privately at Jacques Cemetery.
